Open the driver card and read the trip details and amount. If an editable offer is available, enter an amount within the displayed rules and submit it once.

Respond to a counteroffer
If the driver proposes a different amount, decide whether it works for you before accepting. Negotiation is deliberately short; it is not an unlimited back-and-forth auction.
A counteroffer is an amount to review, not an automatic agreement.

Choose after agreement
When the card shows Agreed price and Choose, check the amount and tap Choose. Wait for Chosen or the selected-driver strip. A loading indicator alone is not confirmation.

Recheck after a switch
Before boarding, another driver may remain available through Change driver or Switch driver. Read that driver’s fare, vehicle and pickup again. Do not board based on the first driver’s details after switching.

The offer expired
Read the latest available offer. Driver position and capacity change; an old amount cannot be assumed valid.
The action was not confirmed
Stay on the current request and check the updated status before retrying. Do not assume success or send repeated taps while the request is processing.
More riders want the vehicle than there are seats
Read the capacity warning and consider another valid option. A queue position is not a promise of pickup order.
